Program Description
By opting in to the Potter County, TX Juror Notification Service, you
consent to receive automated text messages from the Potter County District Clerk's Office
related to your jury service. Messages may include:
- Jury duty summons notifications
- Reporting date and time reminders
- Schedule changes and cancellations
- Juror status updates (postponements, excusals, and deferrals)
- Check-in confirmations
- Emergency or weather-related alerts affecting court operations
This is a service-based messaging program. Your consent to receive text messages is
not required as a condition of jury service. However, opting out of SMS
notifications means you will need to monitor your Juror Portal account or contact the
court directly for updates.
Message Frequency
Message frequency varies based on your jury service status. You may receive up to
approximately 10 messages per month during an active service period.
Outside of active service periods, you will not receive messages unless you are summoned
for a new term.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates may apply. Please contact your wireless carrier
for details about your text messaging plan. Potter County, TX is not responsible for any
fees charged by your wireless carrier.
How to Opt In
You may opt in to SMS notifications through the Potter County Juror Portal during account
registration or at any time by updating your notification preferences within the portal.
By providing your mobile phone number and checking the SMS Text Message Opt-in checkbox, you expressly
consent to receive automated text messages at the number provided.
You must be 18 years of age or older and the account holder or authorized
user of the mobile phone number provided. Consent applies only to the specific phone number
submitted through the portal.
How to Opt Out
You may opt out of receiving text messages at any time. To stop receiving messages, reply
STOP to any message you receive from us. You will receive
a single confirmation message acknowledging your opt-out request. After opting out, you
will no longer receive SMS notifications from the Juror Notification Service.

Please note: Opting out of SMS does not affect your legal

service notifications. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates

service provider (Twilio Inc.) solely for the purpose of delivering notifications on behalf

This program is supported on all major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, Verizon,
T-Mobile, and US Cellular. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
